Our client is a well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced General Accountant onsite to join their team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, and management reports in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Manage accounts receivable: prepare billings, record receipts, monitor aging, follow up on collections, and perform credit checks.
- Handle accounts payable: process invoices, employee reimbursements, credit card reconciliations, and payment runs.
- Prepare HST returns and other government remittances.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations, assist with month-end closing entries, and ensure trial balance accuracy.
- Calculate and maintain commissions, and track capital assets and leasehold improvements, including amortization.
- Match POs with vendor invoices and verify quantities, pricing, and receipts.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
- Maintain organized documentation to support audits and financial reviews.
- Collaborate with the Controller and cross-functional teams to support cash flow, working capital, and profitability objectives.
- Recommend process improvements to strengthen internal controls and enhance efficiency.

- Salary range: $50,000 - $65,000K
- Paid weekly, every Thursday, by direct deposit
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–3 years of general accounting or full-cycle accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of AR/AP, reconciliations, and month-end procedures.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of HST and other government reporting requirements.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry would be an asset.
