We are currently seeking an experienced Residential Site Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day construction of our homes while ensuring projects remain on schedule, meet quality standards, and provide an outstanding experience for our homeowners.
Position Summary
The Residential Site Supervisor will be responsible for managing residential construction projects from foundation through possession. This role requires a strong understanding of residential construction, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate trades, inspections, schedules, and warranty service while maintaining Lyonsdale Homes' quality standards.
This is a field-based position that requires travel between job sites throughout the Edmonton area.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all phases of residential home construction.
- Coordinate and schedule trades to maintain construction timelines.
- Update daily schedules, progress reports, and job documentation in Buildertrend.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with company standards.
- Ensure all homes comply with Alberta Building Code requirements and municipal inspection standards.
- Coordinate and attend municipal inspections as required.
- Identify construction deficiencies and develop practical solutions to maintain project schedules.
- Work closely with field technicians to ensure deficiencies and outstanding items are completed promptly.
- Perform minor hands-on repairs when appropriate.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized construction sites.
- Communicate effectively with trades, suppliers, office staff, and homeowners.
- Assist with homeowner walkthroughs and possession preparations when required.
- Attend homeowner warranty appointments, including one-year and service-related inspections.
- Investigate reported warranty concerns and determine appropriate corrective action in accordance with Alberta's New Home Warranty Performance Guide.
- Coordinate trades and suppliers to complete warranty repairs in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with the Warranty Administration team to ensure warranty requests are scheduled, documented, and completed efficiently.
- Maintain positive relationships with homeowners by providing professional, courteous, and solution-focused service during the warranty period.
- Ensure all required documentation, photos, and service reports are completed accurately and uploaded to Buildertrend.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of residential construction supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and sequencing.
- Experience coordinating multiple homes simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of the Alberta Building Code.
- Strong understanding of the Alberta New Home Warranty Performance Guide and residential warranty procedures is considered a strong asset.
- Experience using Buildertrend or similar construction management software.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot construction issues and make sound decisions.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate professionally with homeowners.
- Comfortable using computers, tablets, and mobile applications.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
