We are looking for an Event Co-ordinator Youth Mental Health to manage our upcoming Youth Mental Health event. The position is sponsored by the Canada Summer Jobs program.

As our Event Co-ordinator Youth Mental Health, you’ll be taking on the essential tasks related to the successful implementation of this event. You will:
· Take a leadership role to co-ordinate a youth mental health event
· Help define the key components and agenda of the event
· Recruit speakers or entertainment as necessary for event
· Co-ordinate the implementation of the event
· Work closely with Event Marketing Specialist to define how best to promote the event to youth
· Day of event in-person presence to implement event.
· Act as host for the event
· Assist with marketing the event (e.g. contacting potential partners to promote event)

This role has 2 components
1. Summer Contract: Is a seasonal – summer, full time employment position that lasts the duration of the summer contract
2. Fall Contract: A fall part-time contract to allow the implementation of event on Sept 19th
Duration of employment
1. July 6, 2026 to August 28, 2026 – Full time
2. August 29, 2026 to September 20, 2026 – Part time – 10 hours a week
Compensation
1. Summer Contract: $17.60 per hour for 35 hours a week
2. Fall Contract: $17.60 per hour for 10 hours a week
Work Environment
Mainly Work from home. In-person presence required to implement and host the event.
Experience
· Experience leading a youth speaker event or related event
· Experience being an executive with a student association or group
· Experience managing volunteers or employees
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience co-ordinating youth events
· Computer skills, including Email, MS Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
· Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
· Must be flexible to work from home
· Diploma in event co-ordination is an asset
