Job Overview
TradeBridge Talent Group Incorporated is recruiting experienced Traveling Construction Superintendents for project opportunities across Western Canada, with a strong focus on Manitoba.
We are looking for experienced construction leaders who are comfortable traveling for project assignments and working in remote locations. Experience working on projects involving Indigenous communities is particularly important for these opportunities.
The successful candidates will provide on site leadership, coordinate crews and subcontractors, maintain safety and quality standards, monitor project progress, and help ensure work is completed efficiently and according to project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide day to day leadership and supervision of construction activities on site
- Coordinate construction crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities
- Monitor daily progress and help keep work aligned with project schedules
- Maintain strong site safety practices and ensure applicable procedures are followed
- Monitor workmanship and quality throughout construction
- Review drawings, specifications, and other relevant project documentation
- Identify site issues and work with project management to resolve them promptly
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Maintain appropriate site documentation and reporting
- Support productive and respectful working relationships on site
- Effectively lead projects in remote working environments
- Travel to project locations throughout Western Canada as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, or comparable construction site leader
- Strong knowledge of construction site operations and project execution
- Demonstrated experience supervising crews and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of construction safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project documentation
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem solving skills
- Able to work independently and make sound decisions in demanding site environments
- Willing and able to travel for extended project assignments across Western Canada, including Manitoba and remote locations
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Preferred Experience
- Previous construction experience in remote or isolated locations
- Experience working on projects involving Indigenous communities
