Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable & Accounting Clerk will support the day-to-day accounting operations for both our Canadian and U.S. divisions. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will primarily manage accounts receivable while assisting with accounts payable, reconciliations, purchasing administration, and general accounting functions using Sage 50.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and customer account follow-up.
- Process accounts payable and vendor invoices.
- Assist with purchasing administration and purchase order tracking.
- Perform account reconciliations and support month-end closing activities.
- Maintain accurate accounting records for Canadian and U.S. operations.
- Prepare and process invoices while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with payroll support and administrative accounting tasks.
- Work closely with project managers and operations to ensure timely billing.
- Organize accounting documentation and maintain electronic filing systems.
- Support additional finance and administrative duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
- Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
- Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) and/or Accounts Payable (AP).
- Proficiency with Sage 50 Accounting.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Pay: $45,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Timmins, ON
