Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our educational team at Wize Computing Academy of Oakville. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality Coding & Robotics programs to students, fostering a positive learning environment and mentoring assistant teachers. This role is vital in ensuring that students receive high-quality instruction that promotes academic growth, social development, and a love for learning. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for early childhood or elementary education.
Should be able to drive to various Oakville locations.
Responsibilities
- Create an inclusive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Deliver high quality coding & robotics lessons from our curriculum to the students
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure effective classroom management.
- Assess student progress through observations, assessments, and documentation; adapt instruction accordingly.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student development and classroom activities.
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards at all times.
- Make a difference by shaping the future of tech education and empowering students to excel in their careers.
- Uphold school policies and promote positive behavior management strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEAM or Education or related field; additional certifications or licensure preferred.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, parents, and staff effectively.
- Ability to create a nurturing environment that encourages student growth and curiosity.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
