About the Opportunity
SGI Consulting is seeking a motivated and professional Business Development Representative to help introduce our services to manufacturers and industrial organizations across Canada.
Your primary responsibility will be to identify prospective clients, initiate conversations with relevant decision-makers and schedule qualified discovery meetings for our consulting team.
This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys speaking with business professionals, building relationships and creating new business opportunities.
An engineering background is not required. We provide structured training on our services, target industries and business-development process.
Responsibilities
- Research manufacturers, OEMs and industrial organizations across Canada
- Conduct professional outbound prospecting by phone, email and LinkedIn
- Initiate conversations with engineering, maintenance, operations and executive decision-makers
- Identify prospective clients that may benefit from SGI Consulting’s services
- Schedule qualified discovery meetings for the consulting team
- Maintain accurate CRM records and prospecting activity
- Follow established communication and follow-up processes
- Participate in ongoing service, industry and business-development training
- Collaborate with the consulting team to improve prospecting strategies and messaging
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is:

- A strong verbal and written communicator
- Comfortable working toward activity and performance goals
- Able to maintain accurate records and manage multiple prospects
Previous experience in business development, appointment setting, B2B sales, recruiting, customer service, manufacturing, engineering services or industrial markets is an asset but is not required.
