OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator (hands on)/AZ Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy equipment and commercial vehicles to support construction projects across different sites. Your expertise in machinery operation, combined with your strong work ethic, will help ensure efficient project execution while maintaining the highest safety standards. DutiesSafely operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and horizontal drilling rigs to perform construction tasks.
Drive commercial vehicles including dump trucks, tanker trucks and flatbeds to transport materials and equipment between sites.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all machinery and vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
Assist with construction site activities by setting up equipment, preparing materials, and supporting excavation, paving, grading, and water management operations.Follow all safety protocols and procedures during equipment operation and transportation to prevent accidents or injuries.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and transportation activities for record-keeping purposes.
QualificationsValid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record and proven commercial driving experience.Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, horizontal drills, tankers, and paving machinery.
Prior experience working on construction sites with familiarity in operating Caterpillar (CAT) machinery is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures.Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects and working in outdoor environments for extended periods.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team setting.
Knowledge of construction processes including excavation, grading, paving, water management, and horizontal drilling is a plus.
