The Position
Our Front-of-House Support team plays an essential role in the operation of the restaurant. Team members are trained across several responsibilities, including bussing tables, running food, answering phones, handling takeout orders, and welcoming guests at the door.
This position requires awareness, urgency, organization, and a strong focus on hospitality. You should be comfortable moving between responsibilities and recognizing what the restaurant and your teammates need without always waiting to be directed.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly when they arrive. Assist with door, host, wait-list, and seating responsibilities. Answer telephone calls professionally and respond accurately to guest questions. Organize, verify, and hand off takeout orders. Run food promptly and accurately to the correct tables. Communicate confidently with guests when delivering food. Clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables efficiently. Maintain water service and assist servers with table maintenance. Support servers, expo, and other team members throughout service. Learn the menu and communicate accurately with guests and coworkers. Keep entrances, service stations, and guest-facing areas clean and organized. Complete assigned opening, side work, cleaning, and closing responsibilities. Help maintain a smooth flow of service throughout the restaurant.
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with guests. A genuine interest in hospitality and taking care of people. Strong verbal communication and telephone skills. Organized and attentive, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Able to move quickly while remaining calm and accurate. Dependable, punctual, and prepared for every scheduled shift. Team-oriented and willing to help wherever needed. Receptive to training, coaching, and feedback. Able to stand for extended periods and safely carry food, dishes, and bus bins. Previous restaurant experience is an asset but not required. Interested in contributing to a focused, high-performing team. Regular evening and weekend availability is required.
