Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and motivated opening Line Cook to join our team at Cora. The ideal candidate is passionate about food and committed to preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. In this role, you will be responsible for meal preparation and ensuring every plate meets our standards for quality and presentation while following food safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and well-maintained, including workstations and storage areas
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including kitchen setup and cleanup
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times
- Work closely with team members to ensure efficient and timely service
- Monitor stock levels and report inventory needs to management
- Support the training of new staff by sharing knowledge of cooking techniques and safety practices
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is an asset
- Solid understanding of food preparation, handling, and safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and tools
- Passion for the food industry and delivering quality meals
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekdays and weekends
- Food Safe certification is considered an advantage
