Looking to gain hands-on experience in community engagement, communications, and event planning? Suncor is seeking a motivated student to support our Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation for an 8–12 month term. In this role, you'll work with internal and external teams and community partners to support charitable giving programs, community initiatives, and stakeholder engagement activities. Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Arts, Social Sciences, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with social media an asset
Ability to build relationships and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
Experience volunteering with or supporting a non-profit or charitable organization is an asset
Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a team environment
Experience managing events an asset
Responsibilities:
Support the administration of the Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation, a public Foundation dedicated to supporting family caregivers
Collaborate with internal and external supporters, communications and stakeholder engagement teams on community initiatives and events
Support relationships with charities, non-profit organizations, and other community partners
Assist with planning and coordinating events, meetings, and volunteer activities
Prepare presentations, communications materials, and program updates
Conduct research and provide general project support to the team
Location and other details:
This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
This is a 8-12 month work term starting Sept 2026
