Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Electrician is responsible for ensuring smooth operation of equipment, minimizing downtime, manages the startup and shut down of equipment and troubleshoot equipment issues.
General Qualifications/Experience:
- Journeyperson Electrician ticket licensed in Alberta (required)
- Good understanding of electrical systems, PLC programming, and troubleshooting
- Current knowledge of and adherence to Canadian Electrical Code
Minimum of 5 years of experience focusing on electrical equipment maintenance

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
Industrial electrical equipment installs and troubleshooting
PLC programming and troubleshooting
Experience working in an industrial environment
Certificates & Licenses:
Journeyperson Electrician certificate (required)
Confined Space entry, Fall Protection, Forklift Operator, Genie Boom Operator, First Aid, any other safety related tickets an asset
Work Environment/Conditions: Manufacturing environment with the ability to work scheduled shifts that could be days, afternoons, or nights. This position will mainly be working nights with occasional need to cover days or afternoons. Occasional overtime may be required. Position is in a unionized environment .
