Position Summary:
In this position, your day will consist of operating Material Handling Equipment to move around the warehouse to prepare products for shipping and/or receiving. You will be expected to follow Health & Safety and Food Safety standards and ensure the accuracy of the orders for customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate an end rider, including pre-shift and post-shift equipment check

Complete customer orders efficiently and with accuracy to be shipped out for next day delivery

Load orders onto delivery trucks using safe handling practices

Follow instructions and communicate with lead hand

Preparing pallets for shipping to our customers

Working in a variety of temperature zones dry and refrigerated (20 to 35 degrees Fahrenheit)

Complete and keep up to date on all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality Assurance training pertinent to the role

Responsible for reporting any and all concerns related to the Health & Safety, safe handling and integrity of all items received, stored and distributed by Roseland Produce

Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices

Follow safe and efficient work procedures to meet customer requirements including maintaining a clean and safe environment

Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
-
Previous experience in a similar position with knowledge of produce preferred

Experience operating material handling equipment.

Ability to work in a past paced, physically demanding environment, lifting (from 10 to 80 lbs)

Good communication skills (reading and writing) and strong customer service mentality

Ability to work in multiple environments including colder climates - refrigerated areas

A good attitude, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment

Must demonstrate a proven record of consistent on-time attendance
Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (9:00am - 7:00pm)
