Summary
We are hiring an Experienced Line Cook who is confident and highly skilled on the grill.
This position is for someone who can step onto the line, stay organized, handle a busy service, and run the line independently when needed. You must be comfortable cooking multiple orders at once, managing timing, and keeping food quality consistent without constant direction.
Strong grill experience is required. This is not an entry-level cooking position.
Responsibilities
- Work the grill confidently and prepare burgers, proteins, and other menu items to the correct temperature and standard
- Run the kitchen line independently during scheduled shifts or busy service periods
- Manage several orders at once while keeping ticket times under control
- Prepare and cook wings, pizza, burgers, pasta, and other menu items using QB recipes and standards
- Keep all food consistent in taste, portion size, temperature, and presentation
- Set up, stock, organize, and close your station properly
- Communicate clearly with servers, managers, and other kitchen staff
- Stay calm and focused during game nights, weekends, events, and rush periods
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the shift
- Help with inventory, stock rotation, prep work, and product storage
- Support the rest of the kitchen team when needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a line cook in a busy restaurant kitchen
- Strong hands-on grill experience is required
- Able to run the line independently and make good decisions during service
- Comfortable managing several tickets and cooking times at once
- Solid knowledge of food preparation, cooking temperatures, and kitchen procedures
- Able to work quickly without sacrificing quality or safety
- Strong understanding of food handling and sanitation standards
- Reliable, organized, and ready to work
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and busy sports events
- Culinary certification is an asset but is not required
