Position Summary
The Owner Operator Driver will provide transportation services using their own commercial vehicle while managing delivery operations and ensuring compliance with transportation requirements. This role focuses on safe vehicle operation, route management, and maintaining reliable service standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate a personally owned commercial vehicle to complete assigned transportation activities.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, trip documentation, and required operational reports.
- Coordinate with dispatch teams regarding routes, schedules, and service requirements.
- Perform regular vehicle inspections and address maintenance needs as required.
- Manage cargo handling procedures to support safe transportation practices.
- Monitor delivery progress and communicate updates regarding operational matters.
- Review transportation documents and verify shipment information.
- Maintain compliance with applicable transportation regulations and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with clients and operational teams to support delivery requirements.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
- Ownership of a suitable commercial vehicle for transportation activities.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles in a delivery or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to maintain vehicle records and required documentation.
- Ability to manage schedules, routes, and delivery responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills for coordination with dispatch and clients.
Pay: $135,000.00-$145,000.00 per year
