We are currently seeking a Commercial Insurance Risk Placement Broker who can help LIG achieve our goals by providing exceptional service and product expertise to our Producers and Service Brokers. This role will work in tandem with sales and service teams to compile submissions to market and find the best solution for our clients. You’ll be actively involved in all aspects of marketing/placement to insurers and provide the bench strength resource of insurer appetite and target class information.
What will you do?

Develop marketing submissions, proposals, presentations, and summaries of coverage for our commercial insurance programs.

Collaborate with producers to identify gaps in coverage and up-sell opportunities

Negotiate and secure winning terms for new business and remarkets

Continuously build exceptional relationships with markets with key focus on growth with strategic partners

Be an in-house expert on current market appetite and their capabilities,

Problem solve, be creative to find the best solutions for our prospects and clients

Attend industry events and build networking

Attend loss control inspections, sales calls as needed

Collaborate with internal teams to continue elevating knowledge and success
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
-
5 + years commercial insurance experience, with preference to those who have property/casualty underwriting experience

RIBO License and other industry qualifications such as CAIB, CIP, CRM

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Solid negotiation skills

Effective organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and multitask

Good working knowledge of MS Office Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint

Client Relationship Management CRM experience preferably with EPIC an asset

Ability to work in a team environment and ability to use creativity in structuring proposals

The salary range for this replacement role is $70,000 to $90,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity.
