Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Steel Fitter/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and fabricating steel components with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble steel structures and components
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (MIG and TIG), plasma cutters, press brake machines, and calipers to cut, shape, weld, and assemble metal parts
- Perform rigging tasks for lifting heavy steel sections using cranes or forklifts safely and efficiently
- Measure materials precisely with calipers and basic math skills to ensure accurate fabrication
- Fabricate ductwork and structural steel for construction projects following specifications and safety standards
- Operate machining equipment to modify parts as needed for assembly or fitting purposes
- Conduct inspections using schematics and technical drawings to verify quality standards during fabrication processes
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in steel fitting, fabrication, or related manufacturing roles within construction or industrial environments
- Skilled in welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding with certification preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools such as hand tools, power tools, calipers, plasma cutters, press brakes, and schematics reading
- Familiarity with rigging procedures involving cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy steel components
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics accurately
- Prior experience working with ductwork or structural steel in construction projects is a plus
- Knowledge of safety practices related to welding, machining, rigging, and general fabrication processes

Pay: $43.82-$48.68 per hour
