We are currently seeking an organized, detail-oriented Shop Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day coordination of our maintenance shop and fleet repair activities.
Position Summary
The Shop Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and coordinating truck and trailer maintenance, managing repair records, ordering parts, communicating with drivers and vendors, and ensuring our fleet remains compliant and operational. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and strong communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule preventative maintenance and repairs for trucks and trailers.
- Coordinate with technicians, drivers, and outside repair facilities.
- Order and track parts, supplies, and shop inventory.
- Create and manage work orders.
- Maintain maintenance records and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor equipment downtime and repair progress.
- Process repair invoices and verify costs.
- Coordinate warranty claims with dealerships and manufacturers.
- Assist in managing roadside breakdowns and emergency repairs.
- Ensure inspections and maintenance are completed on schedule.
- Support compliance with provincial and federal transportation regulations.
- Maintain an organized shop and parts inventory.
- Prepare maintenance reports and assist management with fleet planning.
Qualifications
- Experience in trucking, fleet maintenance, or heavy equipment is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of commercial truck and trailer maintenance.
- Experience with maintenance software is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional after-hours coordination for emergency breakdowns may be required.
Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
