Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that every guest has a memorable dining experience. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel welcomed
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system, specifically Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math skills for processing payments
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas, and dining room throughout shifts
- Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring all items meet quality standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Experience in food service or the food industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing
- Familiarity with sanitation practices in a restaurant setting
- Previous restaurant experience is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff
