iCheck Inc. O/A Facility Network and We Install It are looking for skilled, reliable, and customer-focused General Maintenance & Installation Technicians (GMTs) to join our growing national network.
Facility Network is Canada's leading facility maintenance company, providing preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, general maintenance, and facility services across the commercial, retail, restaurant, and residential sectors.
We Install It specializes in professional product installation, assembly and in-home and in-store installation services. Our projects range from residential products such as playsets, gazebos, blinds, sheds, and doors to commercial displays, fixtures, equipment, and other installation projects.

Primary Job Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance & General Repairs
- Perform general maintenance and handyman services for commercial, retail, restaurant, and residential customers.
- Complete preventative maintenance and emergency service calls.
- Perform painting and minor drywall repairs.
- Install and repair ceiling tiles.
- Perform carpet and ceramic tile repairs and installations.
- Complete minor carpentry and wood repairs.
- Perform lock replacement and repairs.
- Complete inspections and identify potential maintenance issues.
- Estimate medium and larger jobs, such as storage room repairs, renovations, or other maintenance projects.
- Complete other general maintenance and repair duties as required.
Installation & Assembly – We Install It
- Assemble and install a wide variety of residential and commercial products.
- Complete installations such as playsets, gazebos, sheds, blinds, screen doors, furniture, fixtures, and other products.
- Read and follow manufacturer assembly and installation instructions.
- Complete commercial installations, displays, fixtures, and equipment as required.
- Ensure all installations are completed safely, professionally, and according to customer and manufacturer requirements.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
- Take required photos and provide completion documentation through our field service systems.
- Complete assignments within the agreed-upon scope, schedule, and service requirements.
Customer Service & Field Operations
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all customers.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent Facility Network and We Install It professionally at all times.
- Maintain effective communication with dispatch and operations through cell phone, email, and our online systems.
- Report and/or address customer concerns and complaints professionally.
- Maintain good work habits and arrive at appointments punctually.
- Work independently while meeting deadlines and achieving required results.
- Complete all required paperwork, photos, checklists, and service documentation.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of general maintenance, handyman, installation, assembly, or related experience.
- 1–2 years of experience working in a commercial environment is an asset.
- Experience with product assembly and installation.
- Ability to read and understand product assembly and installation instructions.
- Basic carpentry skills.
- Ability to use common hand and power tools.
- Basic computer and smartphone skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid driver's license and appropriate automobile insurance.
- Daily access to email and a cell phone.
- Must have basic tools required to perform general maintenance and installation work.
- Must successfully complete required internal training and certification programs.
- Additional trade skills or certifications are considered an asset.
Physical Requirements
The successful candidate must be able to:
- Work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods.
- Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, and controls.
- Lift, pull, and push materials and equipment required to complete assigned work.
- Lift up to 45 pounds throughout the assigned workday.
- Work safely in a variety of commercial, retail, residential, and outdoor environments.
