Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to protect our premises, assets, and personnel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment through vigilant surveillance, access control, and proactive loss prevention measures. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and staff, providing peace of mind for all stakeholders.
Duties
- Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems (CCTV) to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
- Control access points by verifying credentials and maintaining logs of visitors and employees
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including coordinating with law enforcement if necessary
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
- Document incidents thoroughly in reports for future reference and action
- Assist with loss prevention strategies by observing and intervening in suspicious activities
- Maintain a visible presence to deter potential threats and reassure staff and visitors
Requirements
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and security protocols
- Strong observational skills with an eye for detail to identify unusual behavior or safety concerns
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
- Ability to work independently with a high level of integrity and professionalism
- Must be able to pass background checks and any required training or certification processes
