Primary Role:
The Rod Line Labourer is primarily responsible for the packaging of tubular products but may occasionally perform other manual tasks and/or operate basic shop equipment while adhering to all Di-Corp’s quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manual operation of packing rack to peen, oil, stamp, grease and bundle finished product.
- Knowledge of different tubular products being bundled which include a variety of sizes, and thread profiles.
- Inspection and operation of lifting devices such as jib cranes and slings
- Use of hand tools including power tools and pneumatic tools (grinders, drills, shears and banders)
- Operate bandsaws while correctly maintaining cut lengths, speeds, and feeds.
- Perform basic manufacturing tasks such as MIG welding and painting
- Cleaning, maintaining and inspection of shop equipment and reporting defects as needed.
- Maintain a safe working environment and promote health and safety awareness.
- Identify, investigate, and correct unsafe practices.
Minimum Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Post-Secondary Trade Certificate or Diploma is an asset.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good numeracy skills and basic mathematical knowledge.
- Mechanically inclined and attention to detail.
- Capable of multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift experience would be considered an asset.

Physical Demands:
- Moderate to heavy lifting (Lift / Carry weights to 50 lbs, Push / Pull weights to 150 lbs).
- Repetitive tasks.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to work shiftwork which could include day / afternoon/ midnight, 12-hour days and some weekends.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$30.00 per hour
