Dental Assistant – Level II, NDAEB Certified
Kitchener-Waterloo Area | Full-Time
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and NDAEB-Certified Level II Dental Assistant to join a well-established dental practice in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled Dental Assistant who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working as part of a friendly, supportive, and collaborative dental team.
The ideal candidate is confident chairside, dependable, professional, and organized, with the ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment while helping create an exceptional experience for patients.
Schedule
- Monday: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Tuesday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- 2–3 Fridays per month, 7:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance during examinations, restorative treatments, endodontics, oral surgery, and other clinical procedures
- Prepare operatories, instruments, trays, and materials prior to procedures
- Take and process dental radiographs in accordance with HARP requirements
- Assist with impressions, digital scanning, and other Level II duties as permitted
- Maintain sterilization and infection-control protocols in accordance with IPAC standards
- Accurately document patient information and treatment in the practice management system
- Maintain clinical supplies and assist with inventory management
- Help create a warm, professional, and comfortable experience for patients
- Collaborate closely with dentists, hygienists, administrators, and fellow Dental Assistants
- Support smooth and efficient patient flow throughout the day
Qualifications
- NDAEB Certification – Required
- Level II Dental Assistant
- HARP Certification – Required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Previous Dental Assisting experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, instruments, and infection-control protocols
- Experience assisting with surgical and advanced procedures is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a busy clinical environment
- Positive, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
