Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Developmental Services Workers to support individuals with disabilities in their daily activities and promote their independence. This role involves providing personalized care, fostering communication, and assisting with various developmental needs within a supportive environment. Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each person's needs and goals
- Support participation in community activities and recreational programs to promote social engagement
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Use effective communication techniques, including American Sign Language if applicable, to facilitate understanding and interaction
- Monitor and document behavioral changes, progress, and any incidents or concerns
- Collaborate with team members, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support
- Provide caregiving assistance with patience, respect, and empathy to foster a trusting environment
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in special education or caregiving is preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Knowledge of American Sign Language is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is appreciated
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to administer medications safely following proper procedures
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting individuals’ growth and independence
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed in a supportive care setting

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
