Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Construction Foreman to lead our construction crews. This role is responsible for overseeing landscape installation projects, coordinating team members, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a crew on landscape construction projects
- Plan, organize, and execute daily job site activities
- Interpret and work from landscape designs and blueprints
- Oversee installation of hardscape and softscape elements (pavers, retaining walls, sod, planting, etc.)
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
- Train and mentor crew members
- Operate and oversee the use of landscaping tools and heavy equipment
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety protocols
- Communicate with management, clients, and team members effectively
- Track materials, equipment, and labour on job sites
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in landscape construction, with leadership or foreman experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of hardscaping, grading, and landscape installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 required; higher class an asset)
- Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, or other equipment is an asset
