Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Fast Food Attendant to join our dynamic team at a quick service restaurant. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cashiering, and food handling, with a strong focus on delivering a positive dining experience for our guests. Previous experience in the food industry, café, or retail environment is preferred. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in sales, upselling, and food service operations within a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Prepare and serve food items following established recipes and sanitation standards
- Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, counters, kitchen stations, and equipment in compliance with sanitation standards
- Assist with food prep, bussing tables, and ensuring quick turnaround times during peak hours
- Follow all food safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and hygiene
- Support team members in maintaining a smooth flow of service during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service delivery in a quick service & fast food restaurant environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, café, or retail environments is highly desirable or else should have done some volunteering somewhere
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
- Strong skills in food preparation, cashiering, upselling, and customer service
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Excellent time management skills to operate efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers and team members
- Experience with serving, bussing tables, or kitchen operations is a plus
