About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, skilled, and hardworking Cabinet Maker / Installer to join our cabinet shop and installation team.
The successful candidate will be involved in the fabrication, assembly, finishing, and installation of custom cabinetry and millwork for residential and commercial projects. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, pays close attention to detail, and can work independently as well as part of a team.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone with practical woodworking and construction experience who is interested in developing their skills and growing with our company.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, plans, and measurements.
- Measure job sites accurately and ensure proper cabinet fit and installation.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and install cabinets and millwork.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment safely and efficiently.
- Install cabinets, doors, panels, hardware, and related fixtures.
- Ensure cabinets are properly aligned, level, secure, and finished to a high standard.
- Perform adjustments, repairs, and modifications during installation as required.
- Assist with cabinet and millwork fabrication in the shop when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Handle and move materials safely, including heavy cabinets and sheet goods.
- Work with project managers, coworkers, and clients to complete projects on schedule.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Perform other related woodworking and general construction duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in cabinetmaking, millwork, woodworking, or a related field.
- Experience installing cabinets and millwork.
- Ability to accurately read drawings, plans, and measurements.
- Good knowledge of woodworking tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Physically capable of lifting and handling cabinetry and materials.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence is mandatory.
Assets / Preferred Qualifications
The following experience is an asset but not mandatory:
- Experience operating a CNC machine.
- CNC cabinet manufacturing experience.
- Cabinet and door painting, sanding, priming, or finishing experience.
- Forklift operating experience or certification.
- Experience with general construction, flooring, tile, siding, caulking, or related trades.
- Knowledge of construction materials and installation methods.
Compensation
Hourly wage will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
