About the Role
The Community Impact Manager monitors and supports United Way Perth-Huron's community investments, allocations, and community development activities. This role serves as the primary liaison between United Way, supported (funded) partners, applicants, volunteers, and community partners to ensure community investments are managed effectively, transparently, and in alignment with organizational priorities.
The Community Impact Manager also supports community planning, collaboration, and program development initiatives that strengthen community impact and advance United Way Perth-Huron's mission.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the grant management systems and prepare reports and recommendations.
- Manage the community investments process, including maintenance and continuous improvement of policies and procedures
- Build and nurture relationships with community organizations, partners, and volunteers.
- Support funded partners and volunteer committee members through application, reporting, and evaluation activities.
- Support collaborative initiatives that strengthen community impact and respond to emerging community needs.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and collective action.
- Deliver presentations and educational sessions on 211 and other community resources.
- Collaborate across the organization to support events and strategic priorities.
- Champion United Way Perth-Huron's mission and commitment to creating lasting community change.
What You Bring
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in social sciences, community development, business administration, public administration, communications, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in Program or project administration or management, grant administration, community development, or the non-profit sector.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, facilitation, and project/ program administration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Nice to Have:
- Additional training or experience in program or project management, evaluation, grant administration, or community engagement.
- Experience working with volunteers, boards, and funding committees.
- Experience using grants management software such as Foundant or databases.
- Experience implementing or operationalizing equity-based goals.
