Summary
The Jr. Mechanic is Responsible for Assisting in the daily maintenance, repair of COSL Canada Ltd.'s major equipment, including Services Rigs, Coiled Tubing Rigs, Cementing Truck. Support maintenance activities for auxiliary equipment such as Light Tower, Boom Lift, Fuel Tank, Mobile Office Trailer, Water Truck, Vacuum Truck, Picker, Hot Oiler and Pressure Truck,400 BBL Tank, Spooler Skid, Portable Restroom, Flat Deck Trailer, Air Compressor and Collect maintenance data and support basic analysis and reporting activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining equipment documentation, including certificates, inspection records, and maintenance reports, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Support the implementation of Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) programs.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance and repair work under supervision.
- Responsible for analyzing and handling equipment failures to ensure the normal operation of production; If there is a fault that cannot be dealt with, report it to the management department and coordinate repair resources; Or submit a purchase request and then sign a repair service contract with the manufacturer or professional vendor to implement the repair.
- Responsible for supervising the status of inspection certificates of each equipment, formulating inspection plans in advance and organizing the implementation.
- Conduct daily patrol inspections. During the inspection process, handle problems promptly. For those that cannot be handled immediately, record them in the backlog problem rectification database for tracking and rectification.
- Supervise and guide periodic trial runs and planned maintenance and upkeep work to ensure that equipment and tools are always in a usable state.
- Propose reasonable suggestions for some outdated or unreasonable facilities, including anti-corrosion work of equipment, unreasonable rectification of facility usage status, following the principles of neat appearance, standardization, convenient use and maintenance.
- Responsible for the daily management of equipment subcontractors, including technical briefings on construction plans, supervision of process flows, and commissioning, inspection and acceptance after repairs.
- Responsible for filling in the maintenance and upkeep records of equipment, ensuring that the filled-in content is detailed and true, the time is accurate, and strictly implement all rules and regulations. Use the equipment safely in accordance with the operating procedures, and organize the maintenance and upkeep of the equipment, as well as cleaning and anti-corrosion work.
- Responsible for conducting relevant training for equipment, mainly including but not limited to the content of daily patrol inspections, equipment operation norms, maintenance process requirements, and relevant management regulations of the equipment department.
- Understand the inventory of equipment components and strictly follow the reference procurement cycle based on the high and low reserve situation to formulate order plans.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or ongoing studies in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Technician, or a related field.
- Proficient in the use of tools relevant to mechanical repair.
- Previous internship or mechanical experience is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or higher).
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to effectively convey technical information.
- Must be legally allowed to work full time in Canada.
- A commitment to safety practices within the workplace.
