Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional guest services in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and ensure they feel welcomed.
- Manage the seating chart and assign tables to optimize flow and guest satisfaction.
- Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions.
- Answer phone calls promptly, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
Skills
- Strong guest service skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction.
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A background in hotel experience can be beneficial but is not required.
