Position Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and enjoys working with both customers and high-value items. The Office Assistant plays a key supporting role in daily store operations — assisting with transactions, handling inventory, managing cash, and ensuring a smooth customer experience.
This is a long-term, stable position with the opportunity to grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Handling & Daily Balancing
- Count and reconcile cash at the start and end of each day
- Assist in managing cash flow during transactions
- Ensure accuracy and accountability in all cash-related activities
Inventory & Product Handling
- Sort and organize jewellery by karat and purity (stamps/testing as needed)
- Authenticate handbags and accessories using Entrupy
- Assist with watch handling (opening cases, battery changes, etc.)
- Remove stones from jewellery settings when required
Customer Service & Operations
- Support buyers during transactions and package purchased items
- Accurately enter transactions into internal software systems
- Assist customers with pawn transactions and pickups
- Maintain organization of holds, repairs, and pending pickups
- Prepare items for inter-location transfers on scheduled days
- Answer phones and assist customers with general inquiries
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment
Requirements
- Available to work Monday to Saturday (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Reliable access to a personal vehicle (required)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting
- Comfortable working with cash and high-value items
- Previous experience in retail, admin, or jewellery is an asset (but not required)
Compensation
- $75,000 annually
- Full-time, stable position
