Job Overview
We are currently hiring experienced Formwork Carpenters for an upcoming commercial construction project in Cold Lake, Alberta.
Responsabilities:
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Build, assemble, install, and dismantle concrete formwork
- Construct forms for foundations, footings, walls, columns, beams, slabs, and other concrete structures
- Measure, cut, and assemble lumber, plywood, and other forming materials
- Install and secure formwork using appropriate bracing, supports, and hardware
- Ensure forms are properly aligned, level, plumb, and securely supported before concrete placement
- Assist with setting elevations and dimensions according to project specifications
- Inspect completed formwork to ensure accuracy and quality
- Safely strip and dismantle forms after concrete has sufficiently cured
- Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials
- Work closely with other carpenters, concrete finishers, labourers, and site supervisors
- Follow all company and site-specific health and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Perform other carpentry and formwork duties as required by the site supervisor

Requirements
- Proven experience in construction with a strong background in carpentry, concrete forming, or related fields.
- Commercial construction experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of concrete forming methods and materials
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials
- Good understanding of construction safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have required PPE
- Fall Protection and other safety tickets are an asset
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and working at heights or in confined spaces.
2-WEEK TRIAL PERIOD – EDMONTON
All selected candidates will first complete a 2-week trial period in Edmonton.
Candidates who successfully complete the 2-week trial and meet our expectations for quality of work, productivity, safety, and reliability will then be transferred to our Cold Lake project.
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
