Crack On is a Vancouver food truck known for our breakfast sandwiches, house-made bacon, loaded hash browns, and bold comfort food. We focus on quality ingredients, proper prep, and serving great food in a fast-paced truck environment.
We are looking for a part-time Line / Prep Cook to join the team. This is a support role that will include both prep work and helping with service when needed. Applicants must have weekend availability, with potential for additional hours depending on the truck schedule, private events, and markets.
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen experience
- Valid Food Safe certification
- Weekend availability
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food truck environment
- Driver’s license is a bonus
Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and portion sizes
- Assist with prep for sandwiches, hash browns, sauces, toppings, and proteins
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets Crack On’s quality standards
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and truck workspace
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and stock organization
- Help load, unload, and organize the truck for service
- Work with the team to execute menu items for markets, lunches, and private events
- Follow all safety and health regulations
Skills:
- Experience as a cook in a professional kitchen
- Strong knife skills and basic cooking knowledge
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food prep systems
- Ability to stay organized under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork
- Ability to follow recipes and prep lists accurately
- Positive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed
