Job Summary
InnovMarine’s growth in Atlantic Canada in the maritime and defence industry has created an exciting opportunity within our Sales team. We are seeking a pre-sale engineer for QuickBrain and IBM Maximo who sits comfortably between sales and asset management. The results-driven Senior Sales Representative will lead the expansion of our software solutions and consulting services across Atlantic Canada.
Reporting to the President, this role is responsible for managing the full sales cycle, with a strong focus on growing existing enterprise accounts and developing new accounts. The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, highly organized, autonomous, and motivated by helping clients optimize their operations, decision-making processes, and technological performance, including through the adoption of artificial intelligence and advanced digital solutions.
This permanent, remote position is open to candidates currently residing in Atlantic Canada with valid work authorization.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition (40%)
- Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities in Atlantic Canada (NB, NS, PEI, NFL)
- Build long-term, trust-based relationships that convert prospects into loyal clients
- Engage with public and private sector organizations in the maritime and defence industries
Sales Strategy & Execution (30%)
- Develop, implement, and execute sales plans using proven sales techniques
- Actively contribute to the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies
- Work closely with internal partners to design and deliver effective sales campaigns in targeted markets
Grow existing enterprise account (20%)
- Collaborate with consulting and technical services teams to design and propose solutions that maximize client value
- Tailor solutions to each client’s unique operational and business environment
- Clearly articulate the value and return on investment of InnovMarine’s products and services
Sales Reporting & CRM Management (10%)
- Document sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline updates in the CRM system
- Provide visibility into sales performance and forecasting
Qualifications & Skills
Core Technical requirements:
- IBM Maximo experience (implementation, configuration, or pre‑sales demos)
- CMMS / EAM exposure (work orders, assets, preventive maintenance, inventory)
- API / integrations understanding (REST, ERP, document management systems)
Core Pre-Sales / Commercial
- Solution demos and proof‑of‑concepts
- RFP/RFI responses
- Translating business pain points into technical value
Domain Fit
- Marine, defence, port operations, transportation, utilities, municipalities, or heavy industry
- Asset‑intensive environments
- Minimum 10 years of experience in B2B enterprise selling of software products and related services
- Competitive, results-oriented mindset with a proven sales track record
- Demonstrated ability to engage with C-level executives and stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Strong business acumen and consultative selling skills
- Ability to listen, assess client needs, and tailor solutions accordingly
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team culture
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30–40% of the time
