Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across various routes. Duties
- Safely operate trucks for the transportation of freight across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and security of cargo.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered on the road.
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating freight trucks and heavy equipment such as forklifts.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, clients, and team members.
