Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server/Bartender to join our dynamic restaurant team for the months of SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, efficiently handling food and beverage orders, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety, POS systems, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a passion for hospitality. Smart Serve is required.
Duties
- Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly as a bartender
- Ensure all food handling and safety standards are strictly followed
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and accommodating special requests
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and dining areas, including setting up and breaking down stations
- Assist in serving food to guests in a timely manner, ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit
- Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience to enhance overall hospitality
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong background in food industry service roles with excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar orders efficiently
- Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and managing cash transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse guests
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor and teamwork attitude
