Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering excellent food service to our guests. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
- Assist in plating dishes for service, ensuring consistency and visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with serving guests when needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations to uphold food safety standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning new skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Basic knowledge of serving practices is a plus but not required
