Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in food service and familiarity with restaurant POS systems are highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash, process payments, and give correct change with basic math skills
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations in accordance with sanitation standards
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables promptly during busy hours
- Provide guest services that exceed expectations, addressing special requests or concerns professionally
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred, including serving and cashiering roles
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain proper sanitation practices in accordance with food safety regulations
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cashiering and handling transactions accurately
- Experience with food handling, preparation, or kitchen operations is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
