We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join the team of a well-established and growing mechanical contractor serving the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors.
With a strong reputation and decades of experience in the industry, our client is a vertically integrated mechanical organization delivering a wide range of complex projects across Southern Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working with experienced project teams and coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Management and relevant teams to assess project timelines, budgets, staffing, and resource allocation
- Assist with research on specifications, vendors, and issue resolution, while processing purchase requisitions
- Manage customer schedules, monitor equipment lead times, and coordinate contractor sourcing, performance, and billing
- Maintain project documentation, including logs, drawings, and meeting minutes, ensuring timely communication and updates
- Oversee the timely delivery of closeout documents and liaise with vendors and clients as directed
- Resolve routine project issues independently and ensure smooth operations through effective use of internal systems
- Attend site meetings, process reports, and perform additional office or project-related tasks as required
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical project coordination or a similar role
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and project specifications
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe; experience with Sage 300 is considered an asset
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
