We are seeking a passionate, hospitality-driven Boutique Wine Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of our retail store. This is a rare opportunity to shape a destination wine experience at the heart of one of Canada’s premier wine regions.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong wine knowledge with exceptional customer service and retail leadership skills. You will create memorable guest experiences, drive sales performance, oversee store operations, and help build a welcoming destination for both locals and visitors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead day-to-day retail store operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience
- Provide knowledgeable and engaging guidance to guests on wines, regions, producers, and food pairings
- Build strong customer relationships and create a warm, elevated hospitality environment
- Manage inventory, merchandising, stock levels, and POS systems
- Oversee staff scheduling, training, and team leadership
- Drive retail sales and support customer loyalty initiatives
- Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and visual standards
- Assist with tastings, events, promotions, and special in-store experiences
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
- Support social media content, local marketing initiatives, and community engagement
- Collaborate with ownership on business growth, product selection, and operational improvements

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous management experience in wine, hospitality, retail, or luxury customer service
- Strong knowledge of wine and genuine enthusiasm for the wine industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with POS systems, inventory management, and retail operations
- Smart Serve certification required
- Formal wine education (WSET, sommelier training, or equivalent) considered a significant asset

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
