Role Description: The Clinical Counsellor will provide virtual, client-centered counseling services to individuals with adult onset disabilities, focusing on mental health, adjustment to injury or illness, and vocational and functional recovery. This is a part-time, remote role that includes conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, developing collaborative treatment plans in conjunction with our Behavioural Reactivation/Vocational Rehab Consultants, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a structured caseload, documenting sessions, and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinating care with internal team members and external providers such as physicians, insurers, and employers.
- Additional activities may include participating in team meetings, contributing to program development, and staying current with best practices and relevant professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, with eligibility for relevant professional registration or licensure (or equivalent, depending on jurisdiction).
- Strong counseling skills with demonstrated experience in individual recovery and vocational empowerment.
- Solid foundation in psychology and mental health, including assessment, formulation, and evidence-based interventions.
- Experience or training in case management, particularly in rehabilitation, disability, or return-to-work settings.
- Ability to integrate RTW-focused and CBT interventions to support functional and vocational outcomes.
- Comfort and proficiency in providing services via secure virtual platforms, with strong digital documentation and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and rapport-building abilities with clients and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in rehabilitation, disability management, occupational health, or insurance-based settings is an asset.
- Commitment to ethical, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based practice.
Pay: $80.00-$90.00 per hour
