Restwell Sleep Products has been in business since 1990. We are a well-established and privately owned and operated manufacturer and distributor of mattresses, foundations and other related sleep products. We are one of Western Canada’s largest privately owned mattress manufacturers. We manufacture the Spring Air, Novo Sleep and Pure Energy brands and supply many of Western Canada’s independently owned retail bedding and furniture stores, hotels and some national chains.
We are currently recruiting for Full Time Production Workers in our shipping/receiving department.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience driving a 5-ton trailer truck is considered an asset.
- Responsibilities include accurately labeling and efficiently loading finished products onto shipping trailers, ensuring items are properly secured and organized for transport to minimize the risk of damage during transit.
- Required shipping-related documentation and paperwork must be thoroughly completed and verified, ensuring alignment with company protocols and regulatory standards for compliance.
- Assistance with the front end of the wrap machine may be required as needed.
- A safe, clean, and organized work environment should be maintained by consistently tidying shipping and receiving areas to promote a hazard-free space.
- Regular cleanup is necessary throughout the shift and at the end of the shift.
- Additional duties may be assigned to support other departments in the factory
.REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in a physically demanding work environment
- Valid class 5 drivers license & clean abstract
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis (lifting of mattresses and bases)
- Ability to lift, bend & stand for extended periods of time (up to 8 hrs per day)
- Ability to read, write & speak English (functional level required)
- Ability to take direction and perform tasks within specified time frames
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Team Player
- Excellent attendance & punctuality
- Ability to work overtime as required
Hours of Work:
This position is Full Time Hourly working Monday to Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Selected candidate must be able to work the shift hours/days noted. Overtime may be required.
