Rise & Shine Counselling & Wellness is a growing private practice located in the heart of Vancouver, BC. We provide individual and couples counselling through a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach. Our clinicians support clients navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and emotional wellbeing.

We are currently seeking an EMDR Therapist (RCC or CCC) to join our team on a contract basis. This position is ideal for a clinician looking for flexibility, referrals, administrative support, and the opportunity to be part of a collaborative practice community.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual counselling to adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, stress, life transitions, attachment concerns, self-esteem challenges, and related mental health concerns.
- Utilize EMDR therapy and other evidence-based approaches to support client growth and healing.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with ethical, legal, and professional standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay informed of current best practices in trauma treatment.
- Maintain professional liability insurance and active registration in good standing with your professional body.
- Collaborate with the Rise & Shine team while maintaining autonomy in your clinical work.
Qualifications
- Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) in good standing.
- EMDR Training completed.
- Minimum 1 year of post-graduate counselling experience preferred - Newer clinicians with strong clinical skills, relevant specialized training, and demonstrated commitment to professional development are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with trauma, anxiety, attachment concerns, and life transitions.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently.
- Alignment with trauma-informed, culturally responsive, inclusive, and client-centered practice values.
- Able to work on site in Vancouver.

- Clinical consultation, collaboration, and peer support.
- Comfortable, fully furnished counselling offices in a welcoming Vancouver location.
