Our multidisciplinary team works closely with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to create meaningful and individualized care plans for children with diverse developmental needs. We are looking for an effective Speech and Language Pathologist to conduct assessments and treatments of speech challenges with children between the ages of 2 and 15 years old.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a fully licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for assessment services. The ideal candidate is experienced in working with children with special needs and is passionate about delivering high-quality pediatric assessments and recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language assessments for children with developmental, communication, and behavioral needs
- Develop comprehensive assessment reports and treatment recommendations
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide parent education and guidance following assessments
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards
- Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration when appropriate
- Provide supervision to Communicative Disorders Assistant
- Direct therapy hours are also available
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current registration in good standing with College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Experience working with children with special needs, including ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, and speech/language disorders
- Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a pediatric team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pediatric clinic or community settings
- Familiarity with evidence-based pediatric assessment tools
- Multilingual abilities are considered an asset
