Responsibilities
- Safely operate your vehicle when hauling garbage containers and recycling totes in and outside of buildings.
- Perform heavy lifting to load and unload waste containers, ensuring secure placement for collection.
- Follow established safety protocols for driving and handling waste materials to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and hauling equipment to maintain optimal safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate collection schedules and ensure timely service.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any operational issues or safety concerns.
Experience
- Prior experience in the sanitation industry preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy moving/lifting
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential; must have a vehicle with a 2-inch receiver.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaborative work environments.
