Machinist – Electromechanical Manufacturing (Experienced with Older Equipment & Programming)

Your Role
As a Machinist, you will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot older machining equipment. You will also support colleagues by helping them with setup only when needed, sharing your expertise to ensure smooth operations. This is a hands-on, technical role for a skilled machinist who enjoys problem-solving and working with precision machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to produce precision parts
- Set up machine programming and run production independently
- Responsible for setting up production machines and training selected team members on proper operation and safety procedures
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders
- Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications
- Maintain and troubleshoot older machinery for smooth operation
- Assist colleagues with machine setup only when necessary
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a machinist, especially with older equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience with machine programming (setup and operation)
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Proactive, autonomous, and resourceful
- Team player with good communication skills
