Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced skilled and detail-oriented Dressmaker/Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-quality garments and a keen eye for detail. This role involves sewing, and customizing clothing to meet customer specifications, ensuring excellent craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. The Dressmaker/Seamstress will work closely with clients to bring their vision to life while maintaining professional standards and deadlines.
Duties
- Measure clients accurately to determine sizing and fit requirements
- Cut fabric according to patterns and client specifications
- Sew and assemble garments with precision, ensuring quality craftsmanship
- Make alterations and adjustments to finished garments as needed
- Collaborate with clients to discuss design options and provide expert advice
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sewing tools and materials
- Select appropriate fabrics, threads, and accessories for each project
- Ensure all garments meet safety standards and quality expectations
- Keep detailed records of measurements, designs, and modifications for future reference
Skills
- Proficiency in sewing techniques, pattern making, and garment construction
- Strong attention to detail and excellent craftsmanship skills
- Basic math skills for measurements, pattern adjustments, and calculations
- Customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and understand their needs
