Packaging Line End Operator
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Supervisor / Production Manager
Position Summary
The Packaging Line End Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring end-of-line packaging processes to ensure finished products are packaged accurately, safely, and efficiently in accordance with company quality standards, customer specifications, and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain packaging equipment at the end of the production line.
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and packaging specifications.
- Package, label, and palletize finished products according to customer requirements and company procedures.
- Verify product quantities, packaging materials, labels, and lot numbers for accuracy.
- Perform visual inspections to identify defects, damaged packaging, or nonconforming products and promptly report issues to the supervisor.
- Complete packaging documentation, production records, and related paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in the work area in accordance with company standards and 5S principles.
- Monitor packaging supplies and notify the supervisor when replenishment is required.
- Assist with product changeovers, equipment setup, and line adjustments as needed.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, and Shipping personnel to ensure efficient workflow and on-time customer deliveries.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving productivity, quality, and safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous manufacturing and/or packaging experience is considered an asset.
- Experience operating packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Forklift experience and/or certification is considered an asset.
- Experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment is an asset.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures may occur.
