We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor / Manager to lead our pet store team. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, and maintaining a well-organized retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management experience, and a passion for animals and pet care. This position offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant retail setting dedicated to pet lovers and their furry friends.
Duties
- Supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies
- Ensure high standards of customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Manage and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives
- Oversee merchandising strategies to promote products and optimize sales performance
- Handle inventory management, and stock replenishment to meet customer demand
- Maintain accurate cash handling, POS transactions, and bookkeeping records
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase store visibility and sales
- Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and make recommendations for improvement
- Enforce health and safety regulations within the store environment
Skills
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail settings, preferably in pet or specialty stores
- Ensure high standards of customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Proficiency in merchandising, pricing strategies, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
- Organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Customer service orientation with professional phone etiquette and problem-solving capabilities
