Position Overview
Multi-Build Solutions Group Inc. (MBSG) is seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver / Equipment Operator to support our construction and steel erection operations. This is a combined position responsible for safely transporting materials, tools, equipment, and personnel between our shop, suppliers, and job sites, while also operating construction equipment as required.
The successful candidate will have a strong safety mindset, a clean driving record, experience operating construction equipment, and the ability to work independently while supporting site and field crews.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Driver
- Safely operate company trucks and trailers to transport materials, equipment, tools, and supplies to and from job sites.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload materials in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure vehicles are maintained in safe operating condition.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured before transportation.
- Assist with loading and unloading using forklifts, telehandlers, cranes, or other equipment when qualified.
- Coordinate deliveries with site supervisors, suppliers, and the Operations Department.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, timesheets, fuel records, inspection reports, and other required paperwork.
Equipment Operator
Safely operate equipment including but not limited to:
- Telehandlers
- Forklifts
- Skid Steers
- Zoom Booms
- Man Lifts / MEWPs
- Loaders and other construction equipment
Duties:
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report deficiencies
- Operate equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications, site procedures, and applicable OH&S requirements.
- Assist steel erection and construction crews with material handling and site logistics.
- Position and distribute structural steel, building components, equipment, and materials as directed by the Site Superintendent.
- Assist with site preparation, cleanup, material organization, and general labour duties when required.
- Maintain safe operating distances around workers, cranes, vehicles, overhead hazards, and other equipment.
- Follow all site-specific safety requirements and participate in toolbox meetings and safety orientations
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating large vehicles or trucks
- Hands-on experience with forklift operation and warehouse logistics preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures, inventory management, and safety protocols
- Prior experience in moving equipment or materials in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable
Safety Responsibilities
Safety is a core responsibility of this position. The successful candidate must:
- Follow all MBSG Inc. safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with Alberta OH&S legislation and applicable site requirements.
- Complete all required equipment inspections and documentation.
- Hold and maintain all certifications required to perform assigned duties.
- Never operate equipment without the required training or authorization.
- Use required PPE at all times.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, equipment damage, or injuries.
- Maintain a professional and safety-focused attitude while representing MBSG Inc. at customer and construction sites.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicles being operated Class 3 preferred.
- Acceptable driver's abstract.
- Previous commercial driving and construction experience preferred.
- Previous experience operating telehandlers, forklifts, skid steers, MEWPs or similar equipment.
- Valid equipment / operator certifications as required.
- Fall protection certification where required.
- WHMIS and other site safety certifications as required.
- Ability to read and understand load documentation, delivery instructions, and site procedures.
- Strong understanding of load securement and safe material handling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction crew.
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Physically capable of assisting with loading, unloading, rigging, and general construction duties.
Working Conditions
- Work will primarily take place at construction sites, shops, yards, and supplier locations.
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Work may involve extended periods of sitting / driving as well as physical labour.
- Must be comfortable working around heavy equipment, cranes, trucks, structural steel, and active construction operations.
- Travel throughout Alberta and Western Canada may be required.
- Occasional overnight stays and extended shifts may be required depending on project requirements.

Competitive wages based on experience and qualifications.
MBSG Inc. offers the opportunity to work on a variety of construction and structural steel projects throughout Western Canada.
Applicants must be willing to travel and work on out-of-town projects when required.
Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour
